I have always been drawn to design. I find myself constantly playing with ideas in my head — imagining shapes, details and how I would create something differently. Jewelry has naturally become a part of that fascination. To me, few things have the ability to transform a look quite like a beautiful piece of jewelry, and nothing catches the eye quite like a diamond.

The idea of creating my own jewelry first came to me when I had my first son. It started quietly — as something I would think about, sketch in my mind and return to from time to time. For a while, it remained just an idea.

But I kept coming back to it.

I have often searched for a particular piece of jewelry only to realize that what I had imagined wasn’t quite out there. And that is perhaps what I love most about designing: if you can’t find exactly what you are looking for, you can create it.

There is something incredibly special about taking an idea and turning it into a piece that can be worn for years, and perhaps one day passed on. Even more so when I get to do that together with someone else — creating jewelry that carries meaning for them. An engagement, a wedding, a birth, an anniversary, a new beginning — or simply something beautiful chosen for no occasion at all. The small moments deserve to be remembered too.

Becoming a mother made life more demanding, but it also changed the way I thought about time, courage and what I wanted to build for myself. Eventually, the idea I had carried with me for so long became something I was ready to pursue.
